32 years as a carpenter. Still have all my digits too!

 

I mostly change people's oil.

 

The same thing that I do for a hobby, hot rod builder. Hotrod parts manufacturing.

 

I teach physics at a high school in orygun.

Active duty Marine. I was infantry but now I'm an electrical systems engineer. It really means I can work on generators, but daily I plan our operations for the command. Six years from retiring where life will have more time for cars I hope.

 

Mechanical engineer that started out drafting in a facilities department, doing CAD work and eventually designing and engineering parts and systems for class 8 trucks and diesel engines. Got my degree along the way and have gotten familiar with a ton of processes and materials. Kind of followed my knack for mechanical things which includes this great hobby.

 

Been in the aviation field for 37 years this month. Currently doing non-destructive testing for the DoD. Supporting the warfighter

 

Warrant Officer in United States Coast Guard (22+ years and still going) I am a Marine Inspector for Passenger and Freight Ships. Diesel or Steam.

 

Quality control inspector for materials used in bridge and highway construction....

 

I transport everybody else's toys all over the country...which means I don't have time to work
on my own!

I retired 3yrs ago, I worked for 42 yrs as a Equipment Operator/Mechanic for our local Municipalty.My son is in his 11th. year there as a Equipment Mechanic.It was nice that we got to work together for 8 yrs.

Nope. My wife and I have had a tiny 2-technician appliance repair company for about 4 years now. (Me and one other tech.) Before that, I fixed surgical and medical equipment in hospitals (Biomed Tech, CBET) for about 8 years. Before that, We had a different appliance repair company for about 6 years. Regressing further back in time, I worked for another appliance repair company for about three years, fixed x-ray film processors for about 4years while owning a 4-plex and flipping one house, repaired appliances for another year before that, did quality control on ATM's at a remanufacturing plant for Diebold for about a year, and repaired appliances while going to electronics school. Oh yea, I also worked in an Italian restaurant (salad maker), cleaned hog poop out of stalls, picked rocks up out of a farmer's field, mowed grass and cut firewood to buy my first car.

Hey! We fix those when they go out of warranty! They're reliable and well built but a little pricey. I'll bet I've touched some of the same machines you have.
