That was an interesting interview. Too bad he didn't like Jerry Lewis or Buddy Hackett but it sounds like everyone else was OK in his book. I've heard that some actors like Steve Martin and William Shatner are real jerks too. Thanks for posting it....

  11. Check out that brush guard - looks like they repurposed a wrought iron bet frame.

One more from "Cinderfella" plus some interesting info on the house in the pic....

This movie featured the Kirkeby Mansion, of "Beverly Hillbillies" fame. The 20,000 square foot structure was built in 1938 in Bel Air, California. The owner of the mansion, Arnold Kirkeby, was quite upset after the production crew of "Cinderfella" trashed the grounds of the 6.5 acre estate, and was initially hesitant when approached by the Filmways producers to feature the mansion in the new Beverly Hillbillies series. Arnold Kirkeby was one of 95 passengers killed in a Boeing 707 plane crash (two minutes after takeoff) from New York to LA in March of 1962. Just before the fourth season of the Beverly Hillbillies, Mrs. Kirkeby cancelled the agreement with Filmways because the address had been leaked, resulting in an endless stream of tourists. No views of the Mansion or grounds were permitted on the show after that time. A new owner dismantled the mansion in 1987 after paying over thirteen million dollars for it.

I agree....especially for the insight to do something like this as a street car in 1932.....I'm sure they had jalopies back then, but I would think they were more in the 'racing' aspect....it seems to me like ''this look'' was at least decade ahead of it's time.....and to have a classy lady actually ''wanting'' to ride in it is pretty darn cool if ya' ask me!;).....I'm sure it was talked about a lot on the film set....I think it's just a cool looking car any way I look at it....and the horns on the windshield post....haha....a wild ride and ''get outta my way'' mentality:D
