    1- complete 425
    2- 401 blocks vatted w/cranks

My wife is coming home from two weeks in the Phillippines today and this is sitting in the driveway, so you may not be the only one who "don't like me". lol

C'mon bud, you've been at this long enough to know it's all a breed of rabbit. Ya get one and one morning you wake to a dozen. Everyone we know finds out what we scored and has to tell us, "...and the guy has a bunch of **** just like yours..." so we go see. Next thing you know the "friend" was right, and worse yet the guy he sent you too is sick of it all and practically gives it away. Decades ago Dad and I bought a Triumph Spitfire roadster just as a fun flip. 2 guys he worked with, my aunt, a kid from my school, all knew of another one that was for sale or just sitting. By the end of the week we had 5 of those little *******s! 4 roadsters (all of em dark blue!) and one GT-6 in silver. We got 2 of them running and parted out the rest and vowed "never again". 20 years later we scored a 67 VW Beetle at an IRS auction for $25. If you think the Triumph deal went bad I think everyone I ever met knew of a Bettle for sale or to be given away. "Hey dad, remember the Spitfires?" We just cleaned and flipped the one because I'd probably still be plagued with Beetles if we hadn't.

  6. We keep a spare bed for just such an occasion. ;)

When I think my wife is going to see something I wish she wouldn't I just drop my britches. Nothing ***ual about it but its always good for a laugh and if I can get her to laugh I am halfway there. :D :D

I have a whole bunch of seized flatheads....

  11. But were they seized by the ATF or the DEA. that is what's important.

Nice score, the nailheads are definitely under appreciated. Great that you got the transmissions to go with them as well as all those misc parts.

If there is a change in sleeping arrangement . I'm just a hour and a half NE of you . PS (bring the nailheads also.)

  15. Correct me if in wrong? Isnt a 425 nailhead just factory a dual four bbl 401? I didn't think they ever made a 425 cube nailhead? Ive got two nailheads a 322 that's stuck and a 401 with lots of Weiand goodies. Ive got the stick adapters and trans for mine. the 322 has the stuff to adapt a ford flathead trans. and the 401 has the cad l***ale setup.

1964 to 1966 Buick had single carbed 425s...it was an optional motor...

    Think that's bad,Studebakers are worse.
In my case it was "Yes,you can buy the NOS parts but you have to take the 8 engines,7 transmissions and 11 sets of heads"

The Highlander has it right on. Once you get 1, you become more aware of them being around, word of mouth gets around and next thing you know the garage is full. My brother is like that, he can sniff things out, he always knew who had what, like a 6th sense.

  20. Now, if you happen to have a friend who has the same problem with 348's, I'd be more than happy to help :D!
