Customs Car recovered (Syracuse, N.Y)

Must have been a Crackhead. Sure seems like a lot of work to steal a project car, haul it down to the scales for what, $200 in scrap? Thieves steal stereos, tools, wheels and tires, etc. and probably do better than that w/o all the heavy lifting.

Really sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed following your build. Keep digging. Hopefully a couple of leads will turn up.

Thanks Pat. I actually got a solid lead and am going to "pay a visit"
to the most likely suspect's residence tomorrow (Baseball Bat in hand) !!
Surprisingly, he is a couple of hours away !!

Car was towed off the property by the bank forclosure , had to be stored 30-60 days then would go to junk .... BUT a light at the end of the tunnel

 

So you have it? Im sure he will be very happy.....its only a matter of time before he sees this. He was literally on 15 minutes before you posted...

Just had a Good conversation with Mark . car is in storage he will be picking it up next 24hrs
Glad my friend told us of this site so this could end well , looks like a great project . Iam glad we asked to store for the bank and being a car guy wouldn't let them send it to junk .
