Just installed a 1992 700 R4 Tranny in my 1940 Ford. I control the lockup just like a cruze control. Touch the control to turn it on, tap the brake to kick it out, just exactly like my cruze control. All this is done electrically with two common 5 pin relays at a cost under $10.00 & it works.

Looked up my diagrams, I will have trace the colors on the pigtail socket to the numbers on the relays if you can hang tight, see I did not have a plug on the tranny like a lot of 700 R4 do to use a pressure switch like a lot of outfits sell, so I had dot do it all with relays.
