Projects SURVIVOR;Working on my hotrod 28A from 1959,rebuild

Got my homemade 4x2 set up off the mock-up stand,an added them to my hotrod. Needs tuning but at lest it dose run ,but very very rich at this point. Should be able to work them out in the next week or so. Fig that you'all would like a few photos of 4x2 all bolted on the hotrod at this point. This one I think came out even better then the first one years back.
The old red fuel line was just too old and cracked. My son Lance's darkblue T-bucket in the background.

Set all 4 carbs at same idel open with U-acink,but ended up backfiring and think I blow a power valve or 2 out,black smoke an fowled out plugs,so wating for some new parts to come in this week an try again.

 

Dang. Digestive setbacks. Looks damned cool Dana.

 

Hotdogs an Hotrods ;
This place has been here from 1962 an still putting out a good hotdog in Miami Fla..
Still wating on some parts 4 my own A ,but got a call to go to lunch from my buddy Mark with his 32,so I used my son Lance's 23T,this is like rent for keeping his T in Dad's garage.

 

Here's a photo with 4x2s on car at a show,got 1st place trophy,this sunday! Yes we got rained on.
Got the4x2 set up running kind of, runs strong,no bogg . But idel is iffy at times; Put about 100 miles on it,and right front carb is the one acting up,I lowered the float,changed out the ned/seat,but still dribbling inside and out{thinking the carb body maybe warped ?/only this one 94 running rich n dribbling{ all have same new kits ,jets/ect. All have blocked off PV plugs. I'll work it out but.

 

Super cool Dana, what was the gas consumption like over the 100 miles ? JW

The 4x2 set up is super nice! Good to see your out enjoying your ride.

 

Another angle from the Surfside Show,this was about one mile north of were Surfside 6,TV show was address wise,but in real was filmed faked in LA,I tryed to get on the show in 1960,only to find out it was not in Surfside/Miami Beach except for a few shots. Cuz the show was a sister show to 77 Sunset Strip and filmed in the same stuidos on the west cost.

Yes,I got the trophy this time,but really the very best part is doing the cruisin with my 3 buddys {in this case we did a round trip of about 60miles along with a pizza stop going home}and also meeting some new guys at a show with there cool cars as well.

Went to South Beach Art Deco Weekend,Miami Beach Fla. AACA event.
Mark took some nice photos. The 30 mile trip over there was very early AM ,bad Fog n wet,for 8 am to 3pm show. After we were almost there the fog started to clear enough for this first pic,but it cleared up nice by 8;00am. We went with 4 rods from our club,Mark's 32,Kenny's 33,Rosh's 23 and my 28. Two sweet things wanted to see how a hotrod feels.

Thanks,Reflaction you mean,ya,cool shot Mark got,my old cheep-O gloss black has held up fairly well,not perfect but good shine.
Mark Kline took the photo,his red 32 roadster was the next rod over and the red flair showing in my black paint shine,is the reflaction of his red 32 and other nearby cars. The really cute Redhead that asked to sit in it,added greatly too.

Hope all had a happy Easter,hippity hoppity.
Tranny is broken,I layed Easter egg,the old 3speed 57 Ford lost first gear this last weekend. Yup ,my own falt,100's of hard take offs over the years got back too me. Lucky I do have one extra*,but also means time to hunt more.
Driving around with only 2 of 3 is bummer. Did get to go by my Church,same one I did Sunday school in as a kid.
