Within the past few days I've seen the 1960's Lions Drag Strip video.

And now, this. The H.A.M.B. just keeps getting better and better.

    Great stuff.

Thanks, Joey. The "daily driver" concept, as you mention, is often talked about but seldom actually achieved...or even honestly attempted. I like to think of my beater '29 as being somewhat close. It's driven a lot (!) and seldom cleaned, much like many of those pictured in Don Montgomery's great hot rod history pictorial books.

I like the idea of using my hot rod much like the kids in the late '40s did and do so to the best of my ability in today's modern world of cell phones and super slabs. Great article about the really great di Falco roadster!

Love it @J.Ukrop! That's a really great article. I've been in love with this car since seeing it in one of Peter Vincent's books that I have and have always wanted to know more about it. So good to know more about it and David.

  7. I'll be so bold as to say, that is the best thing you have penned, that i've read.
There's no fat on that, just 100% awesome writing.
    Great car, great story

What a great read that was Joey. Very well done. What a great car. I'd love to find something like that to start with.

One of the best stories on a car and it's owner that I have read in a long time. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Great story. That's the best car I've ever seen here. It looks exactly like the Model A (except maybe the patch panels) that used to terrify my neighborhood in Salt Lake City back in the late 50's.

Really really good story Joey. Did you by chance get any pics of the roadster with the hood and hood sides still on it?

    Thanks!!

Really good, Joey. I loved the length...and the car.
BULLSEYE derailleur pulley wheels just got even cooler.

  22. Great story, thanks. Very well done. The thing about a guy's Hot Rod being his "daily driver" is that most of the time, back in the day, it was his ONLY driver. :)

  23. Excellent piece! Being a cyclist as well as a hot rodder I am curious what bike builder he worked for? Love the derailleur pulley linkage!

Great write up! Nothing I like better than reading about hot rods and drinking my coffee on Saturday mornings!

What are the little bits inside the gas sediment filter bowl in the picture?
