If my notes are correct, Roy Brizio built this 36. The owner was a good guy and happy to share his car.

Here's some of mine. I have a real problem figuring out how to attach pictures to a HAMB thread. I hope I haven't Over loaded it. DSCN2518.JPG DSCN2524.JPG 20150525_150857.jpg IMG_0590.JPG It will fail HAMB certification in a few respects but I built it for me not HAMB.

    telekenfun, pictures are great!:)
Please tell us more about the car and those hood side panels. How the heck did you get the stainless side trim to do that?!?!;)
Also, what is the origin of the taillights and buckets?
    Cool car!
    Thanks for sharing,
    Al [IMG] [IMG]

Also, thanks woodiemike for the woodie... it is a beauty!
More wouldn't hurt! I like your taste in woodies.

Al, I'm glad you like that stuff, I had to conjure for a good while on how to get those spear stripes bent. I finally devised to use a 30x40 inch piece of 1/4inch plate to lay out a grid matrix that gave me the points along way that the spears needed to be bent. Then I used 1/8 x1 inch flat strap iron which is stiffly bendable and mig'd it on edge to those points. At one end I mig'd some stops to hold the spears firmly then with a #00 tip in my torch I heated the spear to nearly orange, starting at the beginning of the bend and walking torch along the spear as it followed the curve. I had two sets of spears so It was worth the risk to attempt this process. I only waisted the first attempt before I worked out a technique. The process worked out very successfully. Where the spear turns back to horizontal that was just trimmed to fit and tig'd stainless. Then a few hours of polishing took care of the discoloration.
Regarding the tailights, If you ask my wife she'd say they look like "Wonder Woman"s Bra, but really the buckets are '37 Dodge and the lens/bezels are '36 Chrysler Airflow. But wait there's more; 3&3/8" section, 3" chop, Tudor doors, Crown Imperial dash, and so on and so on.
As a luthier and a woodworker I too always appreciate the woodies, especially the joinery and craftsmanship. The interior roof lattices are always worth a look as well.
Best Regards and good luck with all your endeavors, KB.

The one that started the whole convertible sedan thing for me.
    I couldn't resist. Picture from 2001.
It was the previous owner's pride and joy out of about 140 cars as I was told.
The car is still around, well kept, and still being driven.

Here is a convertible sedan that was assembled in Brazil and still resides there. The owner is working to get it back on the road. "Keep workin'!"

Two "sticker" cars at breakfast a month after returning from the LA Roadster Show.
"Stickers" are on driver side headlights as put on by members of the LA Roadster Club at the show in Pomona, CA.

The rest of the gang arrived shortly. Apparently all got the memo to drive convertibles!

We believe it was last driven/plated around 1969. I was told it sat in the spot I bought it from for 30 years.
