  2. Sorry it took so long after the teaser, so stuff went wrong at work this last weekend, and we've been on 12 hr days since sat. to try to get things back on track. Anyway, here are the pics (and yes, I know the coil spring front end isn't exactly attractive.). The cars for sale for $13,000.00, and is located in Lake Havasu, Az. 20160602_162656.jpg 20160602_162757.jpg 20160602_162632.jpg 20160602_162725.jpg .

  3. You gonna hate me for this, I had a killer video of us push starting this car (and the Climax AA/FA) at Nitro Night in Escondido 2 years ago, shot from the viewpoint of looking over the roof of Bill Pitts's Ford Ranch Wagon. Unfortunately, they were on my cell phone that I dropped into the San Diego bay! >:-(

Okay..... back on track. My radius rods came today, so I mocked them in place. They're 1" DOM and mounted length is 38.5".

    Like what your doing Fred.

  6. Like it or not, if we're exploring the evolution of the T as an expression, it's worth a brief side trip to see a set of awesome cousins, don't you think?

Hey, at least I didn't post the image of Ray Higley's "transformer" T altered that I was fortunate enough to wrench on!:D

Thanks, Rebel. I'm having to take smaller steps than I like, but maybe that's what's keeping me from screwing up.:D

  9. I know exactly where it's at (well, within a 20 ' diameter circle or so), the problem is it's under a Nuclear Sub and you can get shot for diving there (not to mention fired!). I lost a lot of cool stuff on that phone!

Had a few minutes to myself in the shop the other day, and I am finally thinking about doing the '37-'41 beam axle I yammered about at the very beginning of the thread. I have a pair of front mounted hangers that will be trimmed and cleaned up quite a bit more, that will be turned around to mount the spring behind, ala Ivo's and Grabowski's car. I worked out the drill spots for the axle today, too. The "tricky part will be designing a pair of batwings that will be welded to the axle to pick up the existing hair pins.... Pretty sure I can get ElPolacko to zap something out on his magic plasma table after I design it.

Good point Fred I was never comfortable writing God and I'm not particularly religious. You never know what you will learn on the HAMB.

The bucket above has so much right that I wouldn't change anything.

Reading the top few lines of the text, don't you love the '50s mentality when you didn't think anything about writing the complete address of people in national publications. We used to have to display our registration in plain sight. Usually on the steering column.

In the mid '60s when I was helping a friend set up and show his Hemi. powered A Roadster their was a Dodge bodied Bucket running around and being shown in the Bay Area. I remember the three of us piling in and running for a burger in Richmond. Of course none of us were probably over my 135# then.

So, with the temps running about 110-115 this week by noon, I've had some inside afternoon time to play a bit with my stuff. I figured out the hole spacing for my axle the other day. I do this a bit differently than most, being a visual kinda guy. Cutting out a batch of "holes" is the first step, finding center, and then trying several different counts and spacings are next... Pretty sure the last picture is what is going to be the finished look.
    What do you think?

Looks good to me Chip. Kind of a nice surprise your changing the front suspension. Another nice look on a bucket is the stock Ford axle "SMILE" (heard that expression from Franko.) a lot of people leave off their Buckets.

Golden years, man. Golden. I bought a Model A frame today on a Hand shake and $50. I still owe him $450 and wanted to make a "bill of sale". He told me, "You gave me your word and that's all I need." Golden years, brother.

  27. 3/8" flat washers make good hole patterns too; 1" OD and you don't have to snip them out.
Please don't drill the holes beyond the perch bolts, makes it look like you're trying too hard in a r*t roddy/Rolling Bone-ish kinda way. Just saying more isn't better.:)

Chip- I have a '37-'41 axle originally intended for my T that I drilled almost identical. If I remember I'll snap a photo later.

Fred- what's the A frame for?
