There is a ton of tallent on this page....
I figured I would post a picture of my truck for anyone to play with..."Free Range". I have my ideas of what I'm going to do with it but would like to see some others.

    Kyle,
I love these Hudson Big Boy pickups. I played around with the proportions, mostly.
In stock form the cab gets lost between the long hood and even longer bed.
So I stretched the cab to give you some leg room, resulting in the bed being shortened at both ends. Also removed the upward tilt of the cab roof.

  10. How about using two tone to balance the proportions so no body mods are required.

Hey Kyle, if you're pretty good with tin snips this might work; sectioned body and front fender, lowered, shortened bed, adjusted cab, deleted bumper Hudson pickup sectioned, shortened, lowered, cab work.jpg .

IMG_4132shopped.JPG Still messing with the Packard a bit, I got some Cadillac sombreros at a swap meet last week and I have evened out the stance with a 60 lb sandbag in the trunk (cheezy I know, but didn't have to mess with the crazy torsion bar suspension this way).

I still think shaving the Clipper scripts off and painting the inner sections of the headlight bezels body color is the way to go here, but can someone add a '55 Buick grille bar to my grille in place of the little ship's wheel? I feel like that horizontal bar might tie it all together better than just the plain vertical fins it has now.

Here's the untouched version if my shaving and headlight painting job is sub-par. I'm trying to learn, but importing parts of other pictures is tough for me.

  23. Disturbing? I think you're way off base there. That's an awesome job showing great skill. "If you can't say nuthin' nice..."

Thanks for the bar install! Not quite what I expected. Great to be able to see stuff like this before actually buying hard parts and trying it. Much appreciated.

Could someone please put the rocket solid as cast without the "three bar knockoff" on my 48 please? [IMG][IMG][IMG]

  28. [IMG] could someone please delete the bumper for a roll pan with plate insert or roll pan with bumperettes from a car from the era. Also maybe lower it and remove trim as needed. I am trying to get ideas. Thanks!
