History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

If I remember the story right, the car was longer. The front end was run over in and off track accident. Not having the time to build a new car, they just cut the frame off, welded on a new cross member, and ran the car short. It won, so it stayed short.

 

And Tom is really good people too! Tom's son was killed when their comp coupe went air borne on the salt at near 300 a few years ago. Very sad deal.
