Here is mine. She is kinda neglected and has been for a few years. The navy has kept me away for the last 10 months. Should be home from deployment and retired in the next 60 days!

My 58 Lloyd Alexander LS600 wagon being fixed up little by little. The hood was so rotten it folded in half when I tried to open it. I had to rebuild and reinforce it! The little bugger runs like a top, too! I love it. [IMG]

  15. To be honest I am amazed with the sheer numbers of wagons that are owned by hambers, there are some that rival professionally built show cars, but I like them all, even the projects. HRP

Great thread!!!!! If I survive the roadster build, I really really want to build a daily wagan that can pull the roadster on a trailer....something 1955 or older.

I have very few handy at the moment. Here are some from our travels and what not.

  28. Thought I had posted pics here but I didn't see any so here goes:
The 55 I've driven since February of 1994 almost 180,000 miles. On my 4th set of tires;my 3rd transmission;and I don't remember how many sets of brakes and wheel bearings. Still has the original(re-built)287 V-8 that was in it when I bought it. The "metal termites" have started work on the rocker panels but I will let the next owner deal with that. The paint was pretty dead on it when I purchased it so I followed the old Ed Roth axiom:"Why wash(paint) it when you can stripe it?"
The 57 I bought in 1997. It belonged to a friend of mine who built it back in the mid-60's as a race car. After the second owner blew up the race motor(and several others)trying to drive it around with 4.56 gears in it he stashed it in a garage in 1979.
I got it unstuck and running and drove it a couple times around town and then started pulling it apart to try and make it streetable. A long bout with cancer put that on hold and it still sits in my shop awaiting to be finished. The original builder has expressed an interest in finishing it with his son for his last project vehicle(he's 77) and I think I might sell it to him.Health issues have forced me to slow down a bit of late. 57Safari.jpg Safari4-18-2016Pictures 003.jpg Safari4-18-2016Pictures 004.jpg Safari4-18-2016Pictures 005.jpg Safari4-18-2016Pictures 006.jpg Safari4-18-2016Pictures 007.jpg Safari4-18-2016Pictures 008.jpg
