I like it five-oh, it is a bedroom on wheels and a dry place to get in out of a passing shower. Built my hitch ,finally , and took mine out for a neighborhood spin. Still gotta wire in the lights on the 55 but I am just about there.
^^^^^^Totally Awesome! You need to put that pic in the "Cool, Artsy Shots of Your Hotrod" thread.....
Staying in Tahoe for a few days and came across this cool combo...it is being raffled off for charity. Sent from my SCH-I535 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
I saw this setup at the Carson rockabilly riot show last weekend. Good Sam safe ride does one of these raffles every year. Last year it was a 57 Chevy truck with a Shasta trailer. They haul it around to local places much of the year and sell raffle tickets.
My wife has a 1964 Cardinal that had to take apart and redo all wood, it' turning out real nice it was white a had yellow paint going to go back original except for the paint . going to paint it white with the yellow changed to the same blue as her 1967 olds 98 convertable LOL i know 1967 ain't hamb friendly but much of my stuff is also doing a 1970 AIRSTREAM also not hamb friendly she love the old campers so we are think about building some new retro small campers Butch

Haven't made it all the way through this thread but looking for ideas for a shell or cap for my 36 in the Avatar. Not finding much on the WWW. Want something light weight and at this point it seems modifying one made for a small pickup might be the route I'll have to go but was hoping for something more vintage looking. No windows except maybe in the back.
Hey rramjet. Search the google machine for images of "Steinbeck truck" and "Steve McQueen truck". Neither are in the style of your avatar but both are definitely very cool vintage designs.
Here is one for sale local to me, looks solid and a decent price http://madison.craigslist.org/rvs/5722074050.html jim
If you google ' vintage truck topper ' and choose images . There are many to stir your imagination. https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=v..._5rPAhUi74MKHZa5BqEQ_AUICCgB&biw=1600&bih=736
^^^^Very good brand; fiberglass bodies and one piece roof. This one a rare, older example of their travel trailer line. Most today are slide-in truck campers.
yes , they are not that rare in Canada but the older ones like mine are lighter than the newer versions. They are subject to delamination such as mine was and takes some rebonding..
