Due to the engine issues we had, we kind of missed Cato's open window. Even so, he's getting stuff done... Just got this of the kick panel:
Look'in good. Are those actual fill panels wrapped with the fabric or windows in the main panels with a reveal?
I think they are wrapped panels, on top of the main panel. I suspect the plaid is a printed vinyl. All I know is that it came from a set of NOS vintage seat covers.
Holy shit... Look what we got back from CATO!!!! The material is amazing right? Photography makes it look a little more contrasty than it really is... In person, it just feels vintage - which, of course, it is... Anyway, we just got it back in the shop and Keith wants to put some miles on it to iron out any bugs that might pop up. During that time, I'm hoping like hell to give it a real photo and video shoot.
i like it. i think i have a thermos and portable grill that matches, i think my next build will have something like that.
Can't please all the people all of the time, can't please most people most of the time, but I think this will please all of them all of the time.
I think that's every pro car builders dream. We just finished a build where the customer micro-managed every aspect of the build. (it's his right) AND changed his mind constantly. (he did pay for all the changes) really nice guy but I kinda hope he doesn't want another anytime soon.(of course we would never turn a known good paying customer away tho)
I work in the construction field. I figure car builders are like other contractors. It's best to start out with a plan that makes everybody happy, then stick wth it. Otherwise, it's gonna cost time, money, or hard feelings.
