It would look better without the kegs and the grill that doesn't match.

What a shame to see that rotting out there, it is too cool to die that way. I should ask him if he wants to sell it, then it can be MY lawn ornament:)

These are in a yard in La Grange, Georgia on US 27 just north of La Grange. These pics were taken over 15 years ago and I don't know if they are still there. Owner's name is Mack Waugh. Mack let me roam through his yard for hours one Saturday. All I had with me at the time was an early crappy digital camera. The cars on the hill in the distance are part of the same yard. I went through the yard before it was cleared and "re-arranged" years before. I was in there for 8-9 hours and didn't see it all as most cars were overgrown thick with weeds, etc.

    I went in the dead of winter because of snakes, wasps and other unpopular things. 1470521841803.jpg 1470521851261.jpg 1470521860943.jpg 1470521879006.jpg 1470521890813.jpg 1470521903554.jpg 1470521948164.jpg 1470521963036.jpg 1470521976015.jpg 1470521990483.jpg 1470521999978.jpg 1470522012779.jpg 1470522033788.jpg 1470522052249.jpg

  8. I wonder if thats the same yard in LaGrange that I stopped by about 10 years ago. The guys there wouldn't let me wander around at that time and seemed rather unfriendly. It might be cause 'Bama beat Georgia in football?

  9. Great looking yard, would like to see more of it. JW

I'm sure it is the same one. That's the only large yard I know of in that area. He had everything. He even had an original 1967 shelby Mustang behind his home. It was taken out of the yard after he found out how much it was worth. He never would price it ???

  12. That looks like that infamous yard in White, GA- was down there a few years ago, and the gentleman was nice enough, had a few cars out front for sale, but would not let us go in. His story kept changing about why we couldn't look... county wouldn't let him/had hunting cameras that he didn't want tripped/etc.
There were vehicles from the late teens/early 20's on up and the yard goes on and on, but at this point, it's all turning back to iron ore.

WE were on our way back from a yard that was open- fellow had a hankering for little cars... there were Pintos, Vegas, Corvairs, Yugos, etc, that he had driven in and let sit. Most cars were paper thin on the bottom 5 inches. He did have a Hudson Twin H that still had the complete engine. That yard is all gone now.

Nope, wrong yard. This one is just north of the city limits of La Grange.

Here is where the yard is located.
Good luck guys, I'm sure they're for sale... Just look at the cars he's pulled out of the yard.

  17. ^^^^Damn; that seems a shame! With that straight and seemingly, complete body, and rolling chassis,
    you can't find a buyer?

  18. Cool looking Poncho. I have never seen a 41 before that I recall. I'd give it away before I would sell it for a scrap price.

I've got over $1500 in chrome, a 425 Caddy engine, Ford 9" in the rear. The body will go first, then pull the engine/rear end. May try to salvage the Nova subframe. Will try to sell the nos rear fenders and other parts. It's been sitting for 10 years, and I need my space back.

  22. If it's titled, maybe you could pull the chassis and running gear and try to sell the body on HAMB. A lot of us are in states where that title is the most important thing, some Kustom dude might want to build one really bad. But it is a drag trying to sell sometimes, that's why I just hoard.
