Man that light blue looks perfect! Thanks. Looks like I'll be shaving my gas door.....

What about that light blue on the bottom with a white top?

Here's one I have been thinking about: '55 Chevy meets '57 Pontiac. The lower spears on the '57 Pontiac have been switched left for right. C-post moved back and roof pancaked a bit. The '57 Pontiac center grille has been lengthened 55-Chevy-Bel-Air-Wagon-DV-09_GC_001.jpg 55 Chevy BelFire 05.jpg XX55Chevy01a.jpg .

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Maybe someone can help me with my 1957 Caddy.
Need to repair the driver side rear quarter after a hubcap decided to take a trip off the wheel. At 70 mph it only had one place to go and that was up in the wheel well. Oh well this is the excuse to go to the next level.
If I can get the paint to match I will remove the coupe de ville and the towers from the hood. Debating on removing side trim as well and adding "mild" scallops.
Color is 1962 Desert Rose with light pearl.
    What to do?
    Any help greatly appreciated

I got these Guide headlights for my coupe last year and love the GREEN color.
Any chance you can "re paint" the car in this color? I'm building another coupe and am seriously considering it . Also maybe a 2 tone with a black roof? ( like Gary's car, HaHa)
Thanks! You guys do some COOL stuff!!

How steep is the learning curve for photoshop?

  21. Caddystew that's one beautiful Caddy. So, nice that I wouldn't touch a thing.
But Moose did a nice complimentary makeover to your car, makes it hard to not change it.
    Good job Moose.

Its like anything else, practice makes perfect. Start with one of the free versions and see how you like it. The tutorials can help too but I also learned a lot of stuff just by screwing up:D. If you look at my photoshop album you can see that the earlier stuff was pretty crappy but its improved a bit ...I think.

  25. Photoshop Elements is more basic and has all the tools you need.
In B&H catalog, Elements 14 is about $80. I'm sure Amazon has earlier versions for less. Sure beats the monthly/yearly fees of Ps CC.
YouTube is a good start to learn stuff.

I have GIMP 2 which is a free download, it's good for cutting stuff up but color changes are really hard, although that might be true of Photoshop as well. Also time-consuming.

Once you've tried some of this stuff, seeing the results of some of the pros on here is much more impressive.

    Thanks for the comments beebing.
Moose did a great job which is helping feed the passion of trying to make a 57 Caddy more custom.
The work will start right after Pistons and Paint in November
    Thanks Moose
