I was able to zoom in on what exactly the kid in the model dept. was holding. Well, now I have to wonder about his allegiance, Komrade!

Not a XK120; it's either XK140 or more likely a XK150. If 1960 is correct. The 120 didn't have a hood chrome strip or those headlamp rims.

  4. I'd say 150. The grille slats are fewer in the 140, I believe.

Unless he was planning on using it as part of a battle scene with U.S. tanks and such.

  10. Nice picture, but I don't think it's vintage. Come on.

    I agree. It's a 150. a 140 has a narrower grille. I really like the 150's and 120's myself.

That reminded me of two separate events, 1, I had a cousin that was a ass hole, he was at our farm and borrowed my bb gun, and shot a frog. It pissed me off, not that I am a frog lover, so I took the bb gun away from him, and shot in in the butte about 3 times till he got out of range. I paid for that excessive reaction. 2 My stepmom threw all my stuff, car, plane , and ship models down in this deep ravine. When I found out, I crawled down the gully and rescued what I could. Still have a few of them...

    Great photos, Rootie!

Could this photo be of Les Spangler and Spider Matlock crashing at Oakland in 1932?
