If it had a rear bumper the sticker would say "My other car is 3Window Larry's Coupe"

The things that aren't always known, this one may have won a couple years ago. If there was a class it fit an invitation could be sent simply for its quality. They also seem to favor cars that are 1st showings when it comes to awards. As I understand it, they're judged in a 100 pt CCCA format and must be within a tight percentage of perfect, maybe 98pts minimum. After that they're considered for concours awards in the "French Rules" format, what I affectionately refer to as head fuck judging. Totally subjective and at the whim and desire of each team. Color, presentation, tire size and choice of white walls or black, upholstery fabric and pattern, top raised or lowered, and more. What they think that day about the class they judge is it. Surely when there's so many phenoms in place, and as humbling as such cars can be, being there on the grounds really is it's own level of a win.

And Tom, brother your work wears me right the hell out man! Awesome and thanks again.

Thanks for sharing. Thanks for all the two seat Indy cars too as I'll be studying those photos for cues for my project

Are the "junk" formula indy cars a featured class this year? there seems to be a bunch of them. VERY cool.

That Alfa is close to 4-wheeled sex. They're as stunning under the hood as they are closed up.

Yes, that was class V, I posted a photo of each one on another HAMB thread. That # 33 Gilmore car is one I lost back in the 1970's because I missed a monthly phone call. Unrestored and missing the engine, $20,000. Oh for the good old days. Bob

You are not alone, I'd never heard of a Bizzarrini until I saw this one and others in their special class R at Pebble Beach. That car belongs to Bruce Meyer it finished first in class at the 1965 running of the 24 hours of LeMans. The really cool thing about Pebble Beach was the Car Guide that listed the car and owner along with the cars history. I'm happy to ID any of the other cars that may pop up here. Bob

The story gets even worse, after I lost the car the original engine from it turned up at Hershey, when I finally went to see it all that was there was the plot of grass it had been sitting on. It has the restoration it deserves, I'm after an other car right now. Bob DSCF4367.JPG

Fantastic photography, thanks for sharing it with those of us who might never get a chance to see it all otherwise.

The blue one in post #38 is also a Bizzarrini, as is this one. The are very distinctive.

Daniel Vehse------I'm truly knocked out by your track roadster!!!! Is there any site or post where I can see more of this KILLER roadster? Very nice coverage of the event. It was good to see some recognition for the 2 seater indy cars. Sorry about drooling over the track roadster (no, I'm not!!) but after THAT car being seared into my brain I really want to see more of it. Especially the front and the transition of the grill/hood into the cowl. Bill Rinaldi
