I agree , '37 was a great year in auto design.
I recently did an engine change in this lovely coupe.

X38, I think the only front end difference in 37 was painted vs chrome grill bars??

forgot about the packard I had, this one was even more than I had time to tackle. Cowl and nose went on to someone else's build.

Since this thread is still active, here's one of my favorite cars from that era, the Dubonnet Coupe. Commissioned by Andre DuBonnet (DuBonnet Wines fortune), designed by aerodynamicist Jean Androu and built by carrossier Jacques Saoutchik. Sometimes called the Xenia Coupe after his wife Xenia Johnson. Built on the Hispano Suiza H6B/C chassis. Lots of French Curves.

And the car is pretty curvy, too!

In the art world it's the time of transition from Art Deco to Streamline Moderne.
My favorite inspirational art form applied to buildings, planes, cars, commercial vehicles, furniture, radios, kitchen appliances, etc.., just before the WW2 effort and continuing into the late 1940s.

    Another example of a 1937 Delahaye ...

Post 57/. The 1937 Lincoln Zephyr coupe is my favorite. I wish now that I had not sold it in 1974 or '75 (along with a '37 LZ four door sedan)!

My 37 Chevy and 37 Ford Utes. Chevy is all stock original, Ford is hot rodded (and no longer that ugly blue, repainted silver and needs to be put back together)
