I can not wait to see Video !!! Very ,Very nice build !!! But one thing that would scare me is the exhaust dump in front of rear tires ,
Just made it to columbus. 1.5 hrs of sleep is going to be so nice. We drove straight through. Its hard for me to believe i once did this on a weekly basis with the 65 dodge. On the track we run zoomies. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Can I assume your first couple passes will be on gas to sort things out and get a baseline on the new chassis ?
Read this entire thread after showing up really late to the whole thing. What a great job and execution. Very cool that you pulled it off. I've spent most of my life doing racing of one kind or another and there is one rule that invariably applies. "The amount of work will always expand to fill the amount of time you have". That being said, you did a spectacular job and I could just feel the unnecessary excitement over something like a dang throttle pedal.... Hope you got some rest and have a blast!
Brian, good luck to you and your car. I hope the speed gods are with you. Could you post a link that we could see for the races. Tony

Wasn't sure about the "no grill" decision, but man that thing looks nasty just sitting there! To actually make it there with the scope of work you took on is unbelievable. Congrats, you won! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Its amazing what six hours of sleep and a energy drink can do. The car made it through tech me not so much. My competition license expired. They said i can run but not faster than 9.90. So we will see what happens. Long story short i was greeted by several hot rod officials who basically said we heard you were coming with a car on nitro. We have gone over the rules a hundred times to see if its legal. We have determined it is because it falls under alternative fuel. We were going to make a pass but had no spark from the mag. The points came out of adjustment. We reset them and it fired up on the bottle just fine. When the nitro was turned on nothing. Some how the fuel pump collar shifted disengaging the drive. After repriming the pump all is good. We were working with flash lights and cell phones. For those few still left after we got it all back together they were treated to the sounds only a nitro hemi can provide. With smiles on our faces we drove to the hotel with one eye partially open. We had been up for almost 48 hrs with maybe 3 hrs of sleep. Several hambers stopped by to say hi. Thanks for doing that. There is a small story on hot rod .com mentioning the coupe is there on nitro. Today we will make our first test pass. We are feeling good about it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Wishing you all the best Brian, it'll be maximum reward to get the puppy down the track after all that hard work.
Great job, nothing like telling a drag racer you can run but don't go too fast. I think 9.90 on gas is way doable. Good luck.
So can you renew your competition license during this event? I'd hate to see your car limited to a 9.90!
