    Those are 46's, you can see by the one sitting face forward by the curb. New cars were still in short supply in 46.

    That Stude also competed often in ARCA in those days. I remember asking why he was permitted to run with a blower, and was told it didn't have a blower. I said they must be calling it a belt-driven air cleaner.

    Yes, Ford resumed production for post war cars to be the new 1946 models-----All 1942 up to Aug.1945 were Military models.
