Hey Bruce, just in case you don't know you can have your stock 6 volt generator rebuilt to 12 volts charging and still run the 6 volt starter, those OG Henry parts are tougher than people think because I have been running that set up in my AV8 coupe with a 59A in it for 10+ years, only replaced the starter once with another 6 volt version. I like the brighter headlights and easier starting with 12 volts.

  2. The newspaper is so old it just falls apart. I tried to carefully peel it apart to see but it's been in there so long with rain water it's unreadable.

I can't think of anything much worse than having your long, cracked one getting into the radiator. OUCH! LOL Hope Ryan doesn't read this.

Man, you hit the jackpot. I see '46 Ford hubcaps, Model A inside and outside handles, flathead genie with cutout, flathead dizzy. Are those tubs fenderwells for spare tires ? Those might make sweet bobbed fenders for someone.

  9. Yes the guy said they were fender wells but I have a few old sckool Harley's so that's why I got them I was thinking I could use them on one of my bikes.

  12. Thanks jersey. I got the fan figured out. I'm sending out my water pumps today to skip down in Florida to have him rebuild them with his turbo fans. I got lots of work to finish over the weekend and next week I get the motor from machine shop. They are ahead on it and they know I need it ASAP for trog.

I am glad to see you and Kevin both get a break. You surely deserve one, or two, or three.

The deck/rumbleseat lids are one in the same. Not sure about the latches. However, the panel below the deck/rumble lid IS different. The panel for a rumblelid has no upper jam or sill.

Those fender wells would be perfect for a motorcycle. Good thinking.

  18. image.jpg Here's an update on my trunk handle lock cylinder. My key expert hand filed two keys for me. Works like it did new in 32. There is a little tiny pin that holds the cylinder in the handle and without a key you can not get the cylinder out. Also once you stick a drill in the little hole and drill out the pin the lock cylinder will just come out of the handle as the pin is the only thing holding it in. You could make a new pin or have to tap it and put a tiny set screw in. That's why I peeled the skin off. Now I just put it all back together and BAM!!!! Done son..... 32 ford trunk handle I payed more for the keys than the hole box of handles I got.

I did have to take some square stock and put it in my lathe and turn it down and thread it to add a 1/2 inch on the handle. Rumble seat lids must have a thicker latch mech. Done son one more check off the list of completion.

Hey, you mind keeping that crap over there please! Left for work this morning at 6:00 and the sun coming up over the Sierras was dark orange. By 9:00 everyone at work was hacking up a lung. I know the rest of Calif. like using the Central Valley as their trash can but, come on!

Seriously though, can't wait to see the first video of you tearing up and down the street in that thing.
