this one really strikes me. it's a 59 cadillac on the right side (and from the side view I'd imagine), but looking straight ahead onto the left side you can see the 65/66 cadillacs.

 

the 59-60 gm flat tops are one of my favorite factory designs ever produced. here's my favorite drawing of it:

 

and I'll finish posting for the evening with this olds. among my top few concept favorites, it's one of the few out there with no flaws (not a single line or design cue I would change) in my opinion:

besides that goddamn square standing at the top of the stairs.

 

If I only had one word to describe this one, it would be; Why? Yep, it is in a definite state of whyness. (I would still like to see the front though)

The one and only....1961 "Corphibian"....didn't catch on for some reason!....grab a fishin' pole, and you're all set!

 

1960 "Amphicar'' prototype....seems to have more 'detail' than the production model that followed.

 

1953 Capistrano High School auto-shop class ....students building a prototype car using 48' Merc Engine and using some 41 Lincoln Zephyr and 39 Ford parts....a real prototype from ordinary students for a class grade...pretty darn cool!!!

 

1954 Kaiser Darrin....what a car!!!

 

1951 "Cado"....built in Mansfield, Ohio....only the one!

 

There were four of these "Maverick" sports cars made...using Mercury parts and initial design ....I think only one survives.
