  1. That is a 1934. I believe all years of Airflow had both options.

Went to an auction in King George county VA in July. Cars were going for nothing.

Sorry, the Pontiac is too new. There was thousands of transmissions and parts piled up outside. If you look back in the woods theres more cars

Wish I could've bought some cars and tools but I have no more room at my house. In the process of buying a garage and I'll be dragging more stuff home.. I did buy the guys entire collection of Motors and Chilton's repair manuals and books/magazines for $10! The oldest ones are from the 50's.

  14. So you said it was an Auction.....Is everything gone and sold or are they trying to get rid of the rest of the stuff? King George is like 30 min from my house.

I spent 17 years in Albuquerque. Not far from where I worked was a place that was full of old cars. I stopped by a few times and asked but nothing was for sale. I took my dad there in 97' when he came to visit me. He asked him if he was selling anything. The response was , "No, I'm still buying".
The guy had been in business for over 30 years at the time and he repaired and restored antique cars and trucks. When he started up his business it was sort of out of town. When I moved there in 87' it was in the middle of things. In 2002 someone made him a very generous offer on his property and he took it. By then he was surrounded by large car dealerships. He took the offer and moved everything to Moriarty, New Mexico. He said it was a 50 mile round trip and he and his son made 4 trips a day for 9 months. He bought an 8 acre lot with a large warehouse. It sits along old RT66.
I took these pictures, and hundreds more, this past July. Lewis Museum - Antique Auto and Toy is what you see on the sign along I40. Archie asks for a $4 donation to look around. The "Museum" is the stuff in the warehouse. I usually give him a $20 bill and he lets me go out and look anywhere I want. I talked to him for a long time on my last visit. Boy has he got some stories! _DSC3778.JPG _DSC3907.JPG _DSC3911.JPG _DSC3914.JPG _DSC3915.JPG _DSC3916.JPG _DSC3917.JPG _DSC3918.JPG He's 80 and said he wasn't sure what would happen to all of his stuff when he's gone. He said that would be up to his son. I can tell you one thing, he didn't get this much stuff by selling things.

It's well worth the effort. I spent a lot more time there than I had allotted. I paid for it the next day.

  24. Holy Crap, that place is like Valhalla. I just send the link to my bud in NM. Wow.

I live just a few miles away from this yard and have explored it extensively. (posted some photos on this site a couple of years ago.) Don't get me started on his huge collection of big service trucks. And you'll never see more derelict Crosleys in one place, unless they've been moved since I was there 18 months or so ago...
