It was a thread about something broken in the rear suspension. A couple members made rude remarks and it went south.
Yes, that was the one. I was quite shocked how vitriolic a few members became. Not sure I'll ever come back after this.
Change of heart and mind. Rather than let a few asshats ruin my experience here, I am going to become an alliance member.
Glad you decided to hang in there Wes,for some unknown reason we have a few that delight in running new members off and sadly they often succeed. As far as having threads closed or deleted just shake it off and move on,Lord knows I have had a lot of threads go down in flames over the years. BTW,if someone tries to interject drama into the thread just hit the !Report! button. HRP
Thank you! to those who live above the aholes who feel that my experience with hot rods is the only way to legitimize me as a member. It's odd that I asked a few innocuous questions and got roasted by a few. So, I have been, into cars my whole life growing up in Detroit. I even worked for Gratiot Auto. Now, that doesn't mean I can build one from the ground up like you folks,,,but it does point to a very sincere desire to own, fix and drive that which I can afford. One final thought- I have 9 foster children...imagine if I treated them the way some have attacked me for such silly reasons. Hmmmmmm...there's simply more important things in life guys and gals.
Nice to see a Mod lean in. Like stated earlier, I went away for the night after posting and came back to the pejorative insults. I really believe there are many members here that can help with my learning. 'Tis why I decided to "fight vs.switch!" Who's old enough to remember those cigarette commercials?

Heck...as long as its traditional who cares HOW you get there....just get there. also, while there are some real jagovs here, a vast majority are really great guys and gals and more than willing to try to work another through whatever issues you may be having....ive been here long enough to know that, no matter how obscure or seemingly impossible your problem may seem, someone, and most times, many here have seen or dealt with it in the past and will have your answer....this site is indispensable for anyone dealing with traditional hot rods. for me its irreplaceable. welcome, and thanks for becoming an Alliance Member
Sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt. Forget wat ppl say. When i first started here on hamb i had my post deleted.lol. but watever. I stuck around because most of hambers are verry knowledgable and man this is the place to be. Alot of funny threads to wen you scroll around. But welcome to the hamb. Sory for bad experience.
