Saw a 55 Ford at a local cruise that had a speaker grille that popped up and contained a radio. Does anyone know if this is a commercially available product or something that was custom made?

My guess would be custom. Never seen it before.

dodg66440, did you get any pictures. That sounds really cool. I'd like to give it a try on mine.

No I didn't. And I had a phone in my pocket too.

I've seen them used as gun cases... never saw a radio in one.

That's an even better idea. Especially with all the idiots we have running around now.

Great idea, added that to the ever increasing "to do" list. My real goal is to hide modern technology for music but still use the on/off volume control on the stock radio, seems doable with a little electronic engineering.

I was thinking maybe gauges? instead of that stupid "hang down" bolton to bottom of the dash

Have thought of mounting the fuse panel under the speaker grill. Maybe even painting a phony speaker above the fuse panel to further hilight the illusion.

HRP had a good idea when it came to the gauges. Here's a pic of his Ranch Wagon Dash, I was thinking of doing the same.

I really like this idea, don't think it'd be too hard to do.
