    Here's my '66 383 in my '32 Stude President..These are outstanding engines...40,000 miles since last rebuild - no problems. Made a good find couple of years ago..vintage Offenhauser valve covers...Joe

    This one here is going in to a 1940 Willys, Mopar is the only engine a Willys should have in fact :rolleyes:

    Our 37 chrysler royal,440 727 auto 8 3/4 rear.Just finished painting it in metal flake . we have owned this car for 32 years.

    Got a 440 in a 49 coronet, but sadly no pics yet.

    This is almost an exact clone of my 38 Chevy coupe. For a while it had a 383 in it that I pulled out of my 58 Plymouth. I was saving money for a SBC when my buddy said you have the 383...put it in there. So I did. First set of headers that I ever built. I sold it when I got drafted in 1967. I had replaced the Mopar with a 327 after it spun a bearing at the track. I've looked all theses years but never have found it. I can easily identify it if it ever turns up.

    Just.got a 41 Desoto 3 window and have a 383 magnum with 727 that I am planning on putting in. On your dodge did you run into any clearance problems?
    Length looks pretty tight. And steering column clearance doesn't look real good either.
    Kind of hard to measure with the original engine in there yet. And not knowing the height of the new engine in the bay

    I think that's damn near the finest engine you could have picked for one of the finest cars ever. Great automobile!!

    Nice looking job. I guess if it will fit in a 40 Ford. It should fit the Desoto.
