I just noticed I went over 1000 posts. I have been here more than 8 years and lurked for along time before I started posting. That post count doesn't measure up to some of the HAMB junkies but I am a little surprised that my count has gone that high. I am proud to be a apart of the Traditional Hot Rod scene and an Alliance member. Thanks to Ryan and the other admins.
Binger, Congrats on the milestone. I have been here for a little over 10 years and only have a post count in the low 600's. I am picking it up a little lately though. Once I get my build thread moving the post count should move upward as well. Later, Thor
It is not about how many posts you have, and over what period. Some of us talk a lot. Some of us don't. As long as you are getting something good out of this, it's all good. If you can bring something to toss into the mix, even better, but it is not a requirement. My personal request of all is, if you have the ability to help, help. It will come back to you, ten-fold.
Thanks. I found the HAMB shortly after I started this build. Kevin Lee told me about a T-5 to torque tube adapter and I found this place. I didn't post a build thread until later on. Growing up in the restoration hobby I always liked hanging out with my dad and his buddies and listened and tried to soak up as much knowledge as possible. Same goes for this place. I do like to offer ideas and share some of the things I know. I am proud to say I am a DIY guy and do every thing with exception of some machining. The entire essence of this place is to help one another. That spirit and paying it forward attitude is what it's all about. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
If you guys would quit posting so much the rest of could at least get a word in sometime! Congratulations on your milestone,or is it millstone? HRP
Bingo...Bongo...Binger with a Banger... Congrats on the postage and thanks for your contributions...that Hillclimb coverage comes to my mind. As said already cool Hotrod.
I think I'm still a grenade inspector. Eleven years and I'm at 475 posts. I don't have much to offer but I have sure learned a lot. A big thanks to all that have contributed over the years.
Thanks for posting the pictures, Dan. It's nice to see the occasional Wyoming photo on the HAMB. I miss the old gang from the Hi Wheelers and Oak Spokes. Thankfully, Dwayne and Sylvia Warner moved to Colorado about the same time I did, so I still get to see some of the old faces.
Cool car Ron and thanks for your nuthins. All the nuthins and somethins make the HAMB...don't underestimate your nuthins...they matter...Oh Yeah congrats Binger...
Dan was my dad. My name is John. I am constantly meeting people who knew him and my grandfather. It always makes me feel good meeting people and hearing how much they liked them. When did you move away from cheyenne? I grew up with those clubs. We were members of the Poudre valley chapter of AACA also. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Howdy John! I didn't know Dan and Judy had kids. I lived in Laramie (mostly) and Cheyenne (for a couple years) from 1989 to 2013, and then moved to Colorado. When you referred to your dad in the past tense, I did a quick search, and was sad to learn of his passing. Somehow I missed that news at the time. Your folks were a regular part of so many gatherings of the AACA. It's nice that Laramie and Cheyenne are so close. The distance makes for a pleasant drive over the mountain to join the neighboring club for lunch and a drive. While there is lots more going on in the world of old cars around Denver, I miss those drives around southern Wyoming and the great people.
