This dragster reminded me of this old Coyote and Roadrunner cartoon.

 

Lots of familiar cars in this picture. Probably Oakland. The Blue "T" on the left is Mickey Himsl's. Don't think it was Art Himsl's. It's still around in this condition. The pink one on the right is still around, it's red now. It's a cut up 34 Ford. The pink Ranchero in the back is a Studebaker that is still around, it's mint green now. It had a Go kart in the back. That red 40 coupe could be the one with the chrome frame from Hayward, it's still around too. Untouched for years, but in pretty good shape. I think the white Vette with the fins was Bob McNutts (spelling) or McNuttly? The purple "A" Roadster is probably Rich Guasco's. It won the big trophy at Oakland, and he still owns it.
