Front end is gettin buttoned up!! Thanks alot for all the nice comments guys, means alot!! I know this car isn't the style most like and I'm ok with that, this is the style I really like!!
Thanks alot, I was actually hoping to take it to the salt flats next year! Does anyone know the rules for the salt flats or if my car will even be allowed on the salt?
I really like your craftsmanship on this build, the workmanship speeds volumes thanks for posting. Keep up the good work. Frank
BRO the tig welding on that component was BEAUTIFUL before you ground it smooth....as many have said OUTSTANDING fab skills, been enjoying your posts...
I am really diggin' your build. Hopefully you'll have it ready for Vintage Torque Fest in the Spring as I would love to see it in person. I heard you were looking for bomber seat ideas. Here are a few. Designed and built by Ryan's Sheetmetal Designs. 254-630-0830 Here are the bomber seats in my Model A. This is before I polished them to a crazy bright shine. I think you had a similar set in your brown Model A.
Yes these are the ones I would like to get again? Does he make these? Thanks alot! Also I will be a torque fest unless something crazy happens!
PM Sent. No, that shop does not make these, however I may have a connection for you. The set I have are getting very hard to find, but I may be able to help you find a set.
You can run USFRA World of Speed in the 130 mph class with it. The rules for Competition Coupe are extensive. The body looks like it would be good but there is significant safety equipment required. Fire systems / containment seat / roll cage / chute if you want to run SCTA. Joe
For the usfra, do I need roll cage and all? I just mainly want to cruse around on the salt, don't really wanna set any records lol
http://www.saltflats.com/I30_Club_2009.html Here is the link .... You should review the requirements. There is nothing extraordinary required. Joe
"Open cars must have a 4-point roll bar. Convertibles, Targa tops, Removable Hardtops, and any aftermarket roof modifications, such as chopped tops are considered "open car". 4 Point roll cage is required. Not extraordinary or difficult. Joe
Quick question, on post 140 you are putting a new door skin on. I'm assuming you TIGd it but how were you able to get the finish you got not being able to access the backside and by welding it at that transition (joint)??? It's absolutely perfect and I wanna know what you did. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I took alot of time making sure everything fit as good as I could get it before welding!! It was tuff but do able! Thanks for the nice comments!

I absolutely love everything about this car! The frame, the body, the stance. Right down to each component. Is there any way you would share your front suspension design? I really like the way just the axle is out there and the spring is behind the radiator. You have done some remarkably impressive work here and I love it! Can't wait to see more updates! Thank you!! Yes I will share the front design once I get it done, I'm actually changing a few thing's up fronto right now!
Do you have any other pics of the frame design and rear suspension? I'm itching to see them. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
