great car, great run. Took custom truck to track, rules required stock door handles in case need to open door in emergency. Good idea if you think about it. Had to buy, & paint new doors - but safer.

Yeah was great to see the progress from your debut to win.... Hope you plan on some work over the offseason and keep us posted. Maybe paint? Can't hurt to look as good as it runs

Thanks Mike! We've got it apart right now getting ready for body work. Hopefully it'll all be one color in a few weeks.

I was slower on the final p*** than the mustang, I'll tell you that! Lol. I only won on a holeshot. I knew if I didn't tree him he was gonna beat me.

IMG_4726.jpg IMG_4725.jpg We rode down to Quain's shop Saturday and hung out. He's got a really nice shop, and all kinds of g***er stuff going on. I got to see first hand just how much work he puts into the Southeast G***ers, and its a lot more than I could imagine.

Got the front end cut, and the head light buckets gl***ed in. Also got the scoop on it. Last thing is putting stock door handles on it, and then it's going to the paint shop by Wednesday. IMG_5034.jpg IMG_5033.jpg IMG_5035.jpg

IMG_5157.JPG IMG_5138.JPG IMG_5159.JPG IMG_5162.JPG Got my car in the paint shop, and my buddy Jeff is really making progress! He's tilted the front end, scuffed the car, filled the holes in the quarters, and flared my fenderwells. And I didn't deliver it till late Tuesday night!

Car is in primer and only likes a little more body work, and finish up on the front end, then it'll be ready for paint.

    Hi Zak

Your 57 ' is looking very clean and nice rear fender wells too, what color will it be when the color coat goes on

Maybe topped off with a bit of turned leaf'

57's are close to my heart as I had a Bel Air in 60' for my driver and some times drag car, with a bored out 301 that a good runner for those times

Had to sell it when starting building the 37' as I needed all the cash I could get for 4 yrs

Anyway I'm fiddle picker and its on the hamb introduce ***led: 53 Studebaker G***er Build. Been talking to Quain for couple months and we're actually building two. The other is a 59 Volvo my son Cody is doing.

Those big cars drew the people like S-W-C running Maz's candy red Willys, then the little cars started to run and they did not have the same Magic

And the g***ers started to loose their appeal seeing the chopped mini cars just was not the same

In 60' when I started building my 37' we all had the bigger older body's that was in the true spirit of a G***er !!!
