i can only hope. jim can you tell me the name of the mag and the issue? i can't read what they say about the car but it looks good in the pic. the track must be indy by the look of the stands.
The engine is out for this season has come to a end. everything has been washed off and wiped down. now comes the fun part. inspecting and measuring every moving part. things appear to be good so far by a visual inspection. there have been no obvious surprises. the rod journels and bearings look great. while not out yet the cam looks perfect. this is the first time the pan has been off. no surprises there either. rogèr and i have been working on a weekend we can get together and service the heads. im going to order some spare pistons so we need to modify them to match the others. all in all im pleased with how things look so far. i wasnt too far off on the tune up with the way it all looks.
I sent frieburger a email asking about drag weekend on sunday. he just sent word there wont be a race this year. that*****s. I was really looking forward to participating this year. drag week is still on.

are you bringing one of your little cars to the Rosemont? that would be funny. I heard about glens crash. sounds real bad. the lunch crowd said he almost died during the second surgery.
No, the season has ended for the Microcars. I guess he really got busted up, they put in a few plates to repair the damage. Working on the Comet now!! It will be a few years for this one to see action.

I still play on the street. i just need to be very careful as far as when and were. glen is a friend of ours. i have known him for over 25 years. a real car guy. glen is one of the guys we eat lunch with every saturday. he crashed a scooter a few weeks ago.

Pete stopped by today. we went over all of the photos he took from the shoot. we whittled down the pile to around 35 from over 600. These will go on a disc to be sent out to nitro madness and hot rod. buy right auto parts is were i get alot of my parts and paint. they are a ppg dealer. the head guy that runs the paint dept asked for a pic to take to vegas. they have a ppg convention coming up soon. each dealer can submit a photo for possible selection for next years calender. we needed one killer photo showing off the paint. we chose some taken at sun rise. we will print them to see how they turn out then pick out the best one from there. we wont know the results until february.
