How about a couple of legendary hot rods on the same cover?

Here you go Tony. Time to get rid of that ol roadster body!

  7. How about a cover with Tony's roadster and the above 5 window? I think that would look great. (I'd do it myself but I don't possess the photoshop skills.)

I will see what I can do FB. I can't manipulate the image above to work in with the images I have of Tony's roadster. It's no problem putting them in the same image, it's making them look right that is the trick.
I have seen a number of images of that coupe, I just need to find one I can work with.
If I was in Port Fairy I could take an image of the roadster, that would work in with the image of the coupe.

I haven't found a suitable image of that 5W yet FB, to use along side Tony's roadster. But I did find this shot and thought I would use it!

So yesterday whilst looking for images I came across the shot of the Hirohata Merc. I saved the image with the view of combining it with an image of Tony's roadster. Way before FB suggested Tony's roadster sharing space with the 5W.
Interestingly Tony's roadster is the same green ( Sea Foam green ) as is on the Hirohata Merc. But the images I used show the colors very different.

Got to catch up with Spencer T earlier, down at the South West Speed Shop. Caught him just as he was about to head home

Seems like another photo-shoot has taken place down in the south west of Victoria. Tony's going to be wondering where all these '34s are coming from? I see Charlie has made a delivery there also.

So I put together a cover to commemorate this!

    Thankyou for the replies guys.
Yes my sister Margaret and I are very happy for Natasha, Tom and their boys.
Tom and Ethan are staying in the area for a couple of days, so last night I went over in the 3W to pick them up and we had a brief tour of the local area and ended up at Gary and Gonzo's. Where they got to see Gary's stuff and to hear the Austin running. It was fired for the first time in the car a week or so ago. I think Tom liked what he saw and heard.
I took Tom and Ethan back to Traralgon and I had a beer with Tom and we talked about stuff.
It was a great night to be out cruising in an old hot rod. Ah life is good.

    Geoff aka whodaky

ps. Tom I went back to that image above and removed the bumper!

Thank you Whodack for your kind offer to escort Ethan and I around the northern hills of the La Trobe Valley it was a magnificent balmy night and made better by cruising in a hotrod coupe hearing that Cadillac take the bends and hills whilst enjoying that wild view looking at the scenery through the chopped screen. I am most fortunate to be able to work for a very good firm in a great role but to potentially live my dream of being positioned in a pristine place away from the big smoke. I have had this on the cards for some time and i now -finally I hold the full house. I may be planted here permanently from next weekend and like I mentioned to Whodack last night over a cold one I feel I am set for a Hot Rod Renaissance !! Let the Sparks Fly!!

    Yeah living the dream Tom.
Was my pleasure. One of life's simple pleasures, cruisin the backroads in an old deuce coupe with good friends and not a worry in the world.

Geoff Gary's Austin was a real fair Dinkum Yankee fire breathing beast like I saw at the Bakersfield Reunion, awsome sound, stance, colour, chop, workmanship, potential and owner! Looking forward to doing a photo shoot of it blasting down Gary's street with the shoot deployed and a motorbike cop alongside !

    Geoff,
This is Ethan here, got my pin-striping brush and black one shot paint ready to go, waiting to learn some strokes from the master! Went to Toyworld Traralgon and found an A-model roadster pickup and a 40 coupe, dad might get me both and I look forward to one day working on these with you when your ready to do some model work!
Thanks for the ride last night!!

I don't know what Gary's mother would say about that. I do believe he gave his old Gemini drag car a half track pass down their street one night. He tells me his mother was not happy, at the time. Boys will be boys!!
I say leave the shiny coupe as is and make serious hot rods out of your other ol Fords.
I think I feel another cover happening featuring the Austin.

I look forward to pointing you in the right direction with that stuff Ethan. Been a while since I have done any real serious work on a model car.

Been playing with a couple of '34 roadster images this morning. I thought I might use them on the one cover, but they were a bit big to do what I had planned so I will be using them on 2 different covers. Here is the first.
