  3. What does all this degree stuff mean? Is it the valve face to zero?

If you lay the head down on so the gasket surface is on a perfectly flat surface and you measure the valve angle, its that angle. Or....It's the temp in my shop...I havent decided

Been on the fence for a while on this. I have a very nicely prepped GM 400 block, but i really wanted a Dart. Spent the last of the budget on it today. No buyers remorse so far. 15250814_10207919877059244_1135198788369296035_o.jpg

  15. Sweet I might try and make that. That time of the year is bad time to travel for me my whole family's birthdays are in April so we always have a lot going on. In April. How many SEG races u plan to make next year? I'm hoping to make most of them this year

Good choice on the block. My engine builder hates 400 blocks due to their inherent weaknesses. You end up adding fill and still take risks, especially with big hp. I love my Dart block... no problems, no shifting of the mains... all good even with all crap I've done to it over the years. Yes the Dart block is heavier but it's worth it and not that much heavier if you were going to fill the 400. Follow directions on the machining.

Keep on keeping on... Can't wait to see this thing dance

How many races i make it to will depend on the new job....Hopefully i can attend most if not all. Bare minimum would be both Greer races and maybe one of the mid summer ones. We will see. I may end up trying to be in the points and go to all.

Yeah, i have a really nice block , but it will always be in the back of my head that i will hurt it. So this thing i can thrash on and not feel bad.... not even a little =) PS, me and you will have to run at the Meltdown~!

I cant stress this enough, i am NOT a body guy. But i bought some paint just to see if i liked the color. I was supposed to paint my model. Well i decided it might be cooler to see what it looks like on the car. Dont judge the nonskills but i think i really like the color, i ran out of paint (Its rattle can) but if it was darker or deeper we would be on. 15304345_10207943467889000_6918465510929982738_o.jpg

That sounds beautiful. I think we are actually gonna shoot for little darker red, less candy colored. Im getting pretty excited.

I was upset I wasn't getting updates on this thread! Now that I'm caught up, I'm upset that I'm not further along in my build! Nice job Joel, I'm digging the color.
