Just came across this thread. So many great wagons. This is my '58 Pontiac Safari, dubbed "Indian Summer". Still a work in progress, with plans to panelize the roof in a Larry Watson style.

Thank you. When I found this place a couple years ago it was everything I ever wanted... times two! Every time I go out there, I look around a wish that I owned it instead of the bank! LoL!

  10. My high school buddy, Rick and I double dated on some weekends and if our cars were broke and we couldn't get either of our parent's cars Rick would borrow his uncle's 53 ford two door wagon. His uncle used the wagon in his house painting business and it was covered inside and out with splattered paint. We'd have to unload all the paint stuff and put the back seat up and Sunday morning we'd have to reload the damned thing. It was the only time that old green wagon got washed.
I'm sure the girls were impressed.

My old 55 sedan delivery that my brother finished and has now, I kinda bullied him on the style of the car lol! It runs 283/400 auto ps/pdb etc. if I ever win the lotto I will offer him double the appraised value to get it back! The old pic is me and my cheesy porn star mustache 1990, with Angus the beer drinking black lab.[IMG][IMG]

Pretty neat is that a BOAT on the top? Does it come off for use and is it open inside to give more headroom?

63 Fairlane Squire I bought in 92. Did a 30 day thrash, drove it in primer for years. Was my first car I did body work on, first engine rebuild, etc. Learned a lot on it.

After sitting in the far corner of the shop for years, it's also my current project. New suspension, disc brakes, chrome all done, body work touched up, 480hp 347. The Astros are just rollers for now, not sure what I'm putting on it.

  27. Ted,These were originally built back in the day and several years ago a new company re-introduced them but they were very expensive and I believe they closed the doors.

I had found a original in the lower part of the state and it needed a ton of work and the joker wanted 3 grand and the boat was missing. HRP

  29. Danny, that is really cool. too bad you couldn't get that one. judging from the photos the boat was the roof/ceiling.
    thanks.

  30. Ted,as I remember they manufactured 3 different styles back in the day.

Another style that had the 49-51 ford taillights

and the style shown earlier with the 52-54 taillights. HRP
