Folks Of Interest Pearl Harbor Day

I was at Pearl Harbor Hawaii in November, 1991, 2 weeks before the 50th anniversary and took the boat ride over to the Arizona. To be alone inside the Memorial in total silence the only word to describe the experience is surreal.

 

Being an old Korean vet 1951-1955, I attend our local "Band of Brothers" every Monday am, where many WWII vets still come & also other vets.
Its amazing to hear of their many exploits of military history, whether it be Army,Navy,or Marines.

My flag Flys high every day I am a veteran although I wasn't even born in the Pearl Harbor era I respect and HONOR all those brave souls that severed to give us the freedom's we enjoy today. My flag flies at half staff today in HONOR of that dark day in our country's history. Joe

These threads have been posted every year since I joined the hamb in 2003 and until this year they were not a problem,but the 2016 I posted was deleted and the 2014 was also deleted yesterday...reason for deleting was off topic.

Given it was a video of hot rods being built I would say it most definitely was. For the record I am not against the Pearl Harbour posts I think it's a significant enough event to let the rules slide a bit for one day but not a great example to defend your position.

I work in a school district and I find it absurd that the kids have no idea what today is about. It's bullshit that they don't care. Personally, I believe that it should be rammed down their snowflaked throats. We had to study it when I was in Jr. High and High School.
The only kids who know anything about today are from a military family while the majority of the other kids do not care.

I had a Great Uncle whom I never had the chance to meet because "Uncle Buddy" and his ship went down in the Pacific by the Japanese war machine. But his picture still hangs in my other Uncle's home after it was given to him by my Mother before she passed away.

Yes but there was another one using narcissism as its underlying theme. As I said, I could be wrong.
