Hot Rods Trouble Maker AA/FA

We had a busy day Saturday. We sanded and built clutch packs, mocked up the rear end with a new set of gears and reworked our manifold fuel lines. Looks like Tuesday we'll do maintenance on the barrel valve and fuel pump.

My dog was going crazy, so I had a heads up...

 

Very very kewl......I am doing a similar project with a 5 window body but my is a Not traditional LSx powered But niether is a twin plug TFX block either....on ALKY. I am beginning to do the tin work and hope to have her rolling in March... here is what I had done this last OCT ... need more recent s pics coz a lot has changed or been completed... and again Thanks for sharing!!!!

That's "Nitro" Jim my racing partner... He drives, tunes, and builds the horsepower...

 

Our body started out life as a 5 window just like yours. We turned it into a roadster..

 

Thats is very interesting as the wife unit mentioned that as an option while I was yelling ..If I wanted half a body I would of paid half price...LOLOLOL ...Yes it is an option!

 

I wanted a coupe, but it wouldn't fit on the chassis right and Jim couldn't see anything. So off it went...

 

In 1971 a young "Nitro" Jim Holtz bought a second hand fire suit from a Top Fuel driver in North Hollywood, Ca. Jim has in trusted it with me now. Anyone have any idea's who, "Knight" was? Oh how safety has changed...

We knocked out a lot of little projects this weekend. It's a continuous project to keep improving our racing program. From the race car, and spares, to the trailer and tow vehicle.

 

Top Alcohol Tuesday! My partner, tuner, and driver of our AA/FA ,"Nitro" Jim Holtz was a major player in the So Cal TA/FC ranks before driving and tuning Nitro powered Funny Cars and Fuel Altereds. He even drove a Top Fuel Dragster for T.V. commerical.

The Trouble Maker crew will be taking the next few days off so we wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Let's all hope Santa brings us Race Car Parts!

It was a dark and stormy night, but Nitro Jim got the mags set and I managed to get some repairs done on the old 34 Dodge Roadster body.
