In those days there was a fine line between outlaw and law enforcement officer. Many times the skills of an outlaw were the same ones needed to enforce the law. Besides, who else would do it?

True enough. Although Wyatt Earp became famous for what happened in Tombstone, AZ, he had many ties to SoCal, especially to Colton, CA, in San Bernardino County. The Earp "clan" had a home in Colton and several members of the Earp family were law enforcement officers in Colton and San Berdoo.

Yes, that is Lloyd senior. I never met the man but his son Lloyd junior is my bother-in-law. Lloyd
owns a very nice '69 Barracuda, a throwback to the one he purchased in '69.

Before Gotham City's caped crusaders switched their atomic batteries to power, Lincoln displayed this dynamic duo with their 1955 Futura concept car.

Chuck Porter built this modified Mercedes 300SL Gullwing from a wreck in 1955. A variety of engines powered this special including a Hilborn injected Corvette mill.

Still the same today . The best detectives have the same mind set and thinks like a con. Just stayed on that side of the law . I won't say on the good side of ......... hard job ,tried it once for a while but got tired of the politics. Blue

He was (among other things) a movie consultant in Hollywood. On a couple of the movies he worked on (westerns, of course) there was a young extra who wanted to be an actor named Marion Morrison. Some of The Duke's on-screen persona he admitted was influenced by Earp.

The 'unknown coupe" was from New Jersey and was owned by Andy Kassa. Do a search on here for Kassa's coupe all kinds of pictures. It had a long and interesting history, was a staple at east coast shows for years and had many different paint jobs. I saw it pink at a car show at a Ford dealer in Woodbridge, N.J. probably 58, 59 or 60

I'm a little bit out of my comfort zone here, but I couldn't find an image of a Riley 9 that has that upswept frame rail. The 1927 Delage gp car, however, looks a lot like it.

I think I may have found the car. It looks like the ERA Delage. Google "Rob Walker Rolt ERA Delage" and some info should come up.
