    It was call a Cushman Highlander---I had one too at age 15. After it broke the piston, I had it bored out to fit a biggerWisconsin piston, had the head milled, and advanced the timing with a homemade woodruff key. It gained about 10mph.

    Now that is traditional backyard engineering at its finest.
    When I was a kid I had a minibike with a Mac 10 kart engine, fastest thing around.
    My buds had Clintons and Tecumsehs on theirs, they couldn't buy 10 mph to get close to me.

    My Great-grandfather was an engineer in the designing of the L.A.County Courthouse. My Grandmother later worked there in the records department.
