Yikes I was checking the mopar section of that site to start on them soon and was disappointed as most of the page was newly built clones...............then I glanced down and found there are TWELVE MORE pages of them. Soon mopar lovers soon, they have the most I think.

I knew a guy that used to street race a '71 chevelle with an oval port bb in it, was launching like this and running 10.70s. Put a Dick Miller anti-roll bar in it and picked up 4 tenths.

See this twist in a lot of 1959-60-61 big chevies too.
Probably even worse than the chevelles, because of the x frame. Real et killer.
Unusual picture... A big Chevy with a Man-a-Fre on it...cool. Even has some sort of solenoid for...??? I ran one on my small Chevy (56, 210 sedan) on the street for years. Mike
Static images are super great but here you can see fuel fx monsters like the skootin cuda and more actually move!
Cause I got a non-traditional 355 with non-traditional 4.56s, instead of a "traditional" 235 with "traditional" 3.08s...
Ok Chevies are done. Time for some Mopars and they have to be king of the AWB world. On the site I'm getting them there are 250+ photos of JUST 1965 cornets Wowzer. Then the other styles have more!! So some cornets... Pomona Mike Ditty Cornet UP UP and AWAY Again Bad News A/FX Again Big Money Dodge Cornet vs Wickersham Ford Mustang Bob Banning Bounty Hunters Dodge Cornet This guy needs a section all his own LOL 13 of just Bob Harrop Flying Carpet Bob Harrop Flying Carpet vs Brannan Lakeland Greensboro With Ramcharger markings vs Super Cyclone?? Little different looks like a sedan body note the rear roof pillar. The other version looks like a hardtop body with sedan doors. CRASH and destroyed
the up up and away looks cool with torsion bars. the big money dodge is actually the first dodge to get the 426 hemi. it was the ramchargers first and was the test mule car. bob harrop first crashed his car then he bought the ramcharger car and crashed it also. I have the crash on video. I spoke to bob about the crashes. he said the first one happened because he was trying to put the car into neutral going through the traps. he accidentally put it into reverse. the second one he said he just lost control. the big money dodge is currently being restored to its original ramcharger fame not too far from my house.
when you really look at the harrop dodge its constantly changing. there are two paint jobs; tall stacks; short stacks; steel wheels; steel and aluminum wheels; all aluminum wheels; magnesium wheels; afx hood; no hood; left side steering and center steering. that's all in just a hand full of pics. the a/fx era is by far my favorite. the cars went from carbs to injection to blowers in one season. the times went from high tens to low eightes. great stuff.
Was that the Ramchargers 1964 super stock car or the 1964 a/fx car that Dave Rupp and Ted Detar bought and called it the big money dodge. I thought the A/fx car went to Eddie Smith and it was supposed to be the first of 4 a/fx cars. I thought those 4 cars were the first 426 Hemi's. I am probably wrong the uup uup and away is the Landy dodge in it's 3rd ownership paint maybe even 4th.
What is the deal with the cars staging with one ahead of the other on certain races? Was that how they did handicaps back then? I did notice that the "tree" was just red and green light. I know that by the early '70s (1971) the tree that was at The Dallas International Motor Speedway was a full tree. I was too young to ever go to Green Valley, but I sure knew that it was there!
I will have to ask jim about it. I thought the ss car got the hemi conversion. I haven't looked at the pics of that car in years but don't recall it being converted to a 2 percent car at the time I saw them. I had several pics of the car from a collection I bought. they were all Chrysler factory photos that I had never seen before. but that's not saying it didn't happen at a later date. it can be hard to keep up with all of the updates done to cars during this era. the rams car did eventually get cut up into a regular awb car later on. its big work to undo all of the damage. there was a guy in florida that was claiming to have the big money dodge for years. when it came time to show their hands with a vin number he was shot down by Chrysler historical. I didn't know the landy car became the up and away car. that's cool.
That was Dave Rupp and he claimed to still have the Big Money Dodge. He had a real good 64 dodge ss hemi car but it was not the Big money dodge.
the max wedge super stock did get converted to a hemi but not before at least 2 of the 4 426 hemi a/fx cars were in California in time for NHRA Winternationals ( they were withdrawn and did not compete) and if Mike Buckel is correct the super stock car was at the Winternationals with a max wedge in it.
