Yes, 'spare the rod and spoil the child' is a good adage here. All standard HAMB philosophy... "Progressive" is applicable to linkage. Not much else.
Boy, I don't know, I am probably what most people would label as "progressive" in my child rearing, and she is turning out pretty damn good so far. Every report card comments about how exceptional she is at settling disputes between others, how comp***ionate she is, and how respectful. They also comment that she has an exceptional amount of insight for a 7 yr old. I never smack her ****, and I really REALLY try not to even raise my voice with her. I think it also helps that there's no booze drugs or tobacco use in our house, and that I spend a lot of time with her on her level, and really engage with her on the things that interest her. This is really good for me as well, because it really puts me in touch with what I thought and felt as a child. When I behave in ways that I don't want her to emulate, instead of the old "do as I say, not as I do" song, I explain it to her that her mom and I have certain defects in our character that we don't want her to learn, because we don't want her to be the SAME as us, we want her to be BETTER than us. We spend a LOT of time doing nature walks, and discussing what we see, and how it makes us feel. We have REALLY enjoyed walking in the woods in the recent snows.
Really true. Think of them as a love container, when you fill it to overflowing, it spills out on those around them... this is not just a cute ****ogy, in my limited child rearing experience, it's a fundamental truth. I look at the time I spend with her as an opportunity for me to revisit my life and look back on it, not as a duty. She is doing math exercises right now, I gotta go check her work, show her easier ways to do it, and tell her what a good job she did, and how proud of her I am.
Whether we're strait or progressive linkages, we all love our little carburetors, and hope they have long and trouble free service periods without a lot of varnish build up. We are all proud components of our cars. There's room here for all induction systems, we all have a lot more mechanisms in common than we have different, according to our shop manuals, it's only when we start arguing about whether progressive or strait linkages are better do we cease to get along.
im beginning to wonder here cause ive changed distributors chased the firing order all the way around the cap , and still idles and pops and stutters, guess ill try that again
With the valve covers off, and spark plugs out, a few revolutions by hand should establish the correct firing order. Was this thing ever running correctly that you know of? Did you see and hear it run? Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
