Drove 300 miles round trip on the 22rd, to bring the wife to the ER. Drove 300 miles today, to bring her home from the hospital!

    To me, priceless!

  2. Had I taken a photo of all the family gathered around the table you might mistake it for a Cirque du Soleil pre dinner..10 people, some dress in PJ's and resembled clowns ,some dressed in their finest and one old fart we will call the ring master wearing a hot rod T-Shirt & jeans and welding a shape knife in a amazing performance that left a once plump turkey into a pile of bones. :D HRP

  3. Bringing her home had to be the best present of all!

I hope she is doing well. HRP

And a sweater. And everything but the fenders and the frame horn covers are too big.

The happiness of watching my 10 year old daughter open the box of her very own tools she wanted, then the fun of being pelted relentlessly by the Nerf gun we got for my 8 year old son....

Two great lines from my 4 year old Grandson: I placed a Dinkey Fork Lift and a Tractor with three gang mowers in a wood box with a slide to open top, toys I had as a kid in the 1950's, figured he was old enough to understand. As he slid the top off and looked inside he smiled and said "Antiques!" Later we were out in the garage, he looked around at all the stuff, "Da, sell all this junk, and buy the missing parts for the truck!" He really likes the '39 project. Got a nice cap with real early Ford Motor Co. logo. Granddaughter was a lot of fun too, it was a really nice Christmas. Really big gift was knowing grandchild number three will arrive this summer. Clunker, last week Emily was talking about this boy in her class, "all he talks about is cars, stupid cars! I don't really like cars." She must have saw the look on my face, because the next thing she said was "not cars like YOUR car, your car goes runkity runkity. You KNOW it's gonna be FUN when you hear that runkity runkity sound!!" Yup, THATS my girl!:D

  22. @BurntOutOldMechanic make sure you start practicing your pronunciation now, I understand the correct way is Jag-you-are.

I got a "Holy Shit what's that?" the other day from a neighbor that came over to help me trap a varmint out in the back shed. He has lived a mile from me for the last 30 years and didn't know I had old cars around.
As far as Santa is concerned, nada, but that is OK, I didn't get her anything either.

  25. For once I think the Brits got it right, how we got the Americanized pronunciation out of Jag-u-ar, I'll never figure out.

My daughter wants a real piano bad! She has a decent Yamaha keyboard, but the lady that gives her lessons has a nice old upright grand, she keeps saying "daddy, my piano doesn't sound as good as my teachers".:p
