The Racing car used the whole Messerschmitt body, not just the grille and top.

Those Messerschmitts are fetching good money now. Google it, but note no d and two ts in Messerschmitt.

  5. I've had several dogs. They all liked me - friends would say they adored me.

NONE of them liked me enough to be coaxed onto the back of one of my motorcycles.

  6. So in high school, I was a greaser. All the frats started dressing like the Beach Boys. They did love them too-short slacks.

We called 'em "floods" on account of they were already up around their knees - in case a flood happened.

Health and safety along with risk assessment would have a field day here with the operators hauling the aircraft with the motor running and the prop turning.

Happy new year everyone and thanks for the entertainment throughout 2016

From my memory, I believe Elvis had one of these Messerschmitts given to him by Col Parker. Knowing his love for cars I'm pretty sure this machine would have amused him for a long while.

This post shows a few photos of early Australian hot rodding. The first would be in Victoria and I recognize the yellow 1932 Sports Coupe as Ern Harwoods. Not sure of owners of others. The second photo could be here in Brisbane with that style of house and a genuine steel 32 roadster. The third one is definitely a local Quensland
hot rod run.The Model A roadster could be Warren Wilkie who now owns Toowoomba Rod & Custom Shop and built my 32 roadster. Will do some more research.

  13. I drove by Jeffries when that Damnation Alley thing was sitting there. Notice the Gullwing Mercedes?
