Vintage shots from days gone by!

I don't know the complete story, but here some pictures about a group of friends from the Netherlands who went on a world road trip on their scooters/motorcycles. Here some photo's when they were in the USA, 1956.









































And back home again...

 

They aren't husking corn, they're shelling it. Those ears they're feeding in are already husked. Shelling removed the kernel from the cob.

 

ME TOO!!! I also like the Buick to the left of it but that 56 out classes everything else in the picture!!

 

Must be Canada eh? has door on drivers side.. !!!!!

 

Is that YOU with yer finger in yer nose?

 

With all of that camera and movie film gear, there must be more somewhere!
It would be awesome to see more! I will have to put it on the list of things to research.

Early prototype Imperial Walker.

 

Looks like Moffet Field Naval Air Station. I used to go to air shows there when I was a kid. They used to give hot air balloon rides inside that derigible hangar.

 

I want to say Harley Topper... but somethings not right with that answer

 

There have been several images posted here before regarding these holy tires.

Airless but have a smoother ride than a solid rubber tire, and no blowouts.

 

There is a bycyle tire manufacterer that has recently "invented" these tyres...
I wrote to them and said. "Nothings new"....

 

Never too young to cruise in a cool car!...sharing is the hard part!!!

 

Its so covered up I'm not sure, but I think its a Zundapp Bella scooter

 

One image of the scooter I found by google says "Maicoletta", which, is indeed a scooter.



I know nothing about it, but it looks like it to me.
