But, upon close inspection, it doesn't appear to use any actual Stude parts.

  2. This is in Christchurch, New Zealand, probably in 1952 when the first of the new fleet of AEC Reliance buses came into service. Nowadays the buses have low floors and prams are wheeled inside.

I'm guessing there's something special under the hood of that one.

  15. Yep. I was in awe of the "five five Chevuhlay" as the Woodburn announcer would say!

    Blitz Weinhard.
    Famous Portland beer.
First beer I ever "tasted" (at 16), probably the reason it took a while to develop a taste for beer because I thought all beer must taste "skanky".
In later years tried Weinhards Private Reserve...........no better.

I'm not sure what to think of this. It looks like a well organized invasion.

  21. Port of Portland also used to be port of entry for most Datsuns Nissans )and Toyotas straight from Japan. This is when all them furrin' things were actually made in Japan. Kind of weird, ACRES of cars.

  22. By the way, I knew guys that were drivers for these deliveries, all they did was drive one off, park it, go back for another. Damn good money too!

  25. Portland outdoor market. Used to be a ton of 'em in this are. Disappeared in the 70's, became flea market type joints, a used tool store. That where I got my ONE DOLLAR electric drill, still works fine!
