Hot Rods I know it's been posted in the past but it's so dadgum cool

  1. I did a quick search but didn't see it but I'm sure it's been posted in the past,but like I said and to paraphrase the late 3wLarry , " It's so DADGUM cool". HRP

    Thats Juha Kankkunen's model A.He is a finnish world rally champion,so i guess thats one reason for the Ford BDA motor...
    Those are an aluminum wheels,that have wood graining painted on them.

    That must have the sound track dubbed. It sure didn't feel that we went as fast as that engine went, but its' a hoot for sure!

    That would be sooo much fun.
    I saw a magazine article about this car after it was first built.
    Real hot rods are still alive and well.

    There was an old thread that had details on this car, but who knows if it's still recoverable. I remember the article, but can't remember the magazine it was published within. The wheels looked like wood but were custom cast. Talk about a cool sleeper! Gary

    The AU article also provides a link to the builder's pix and refs the Mar 2008 Hot Rod Mag article. I think the model A guys should take a look at that tricky chassis! The still pix are great to see. Gary

    I've seen it before and it's still way cool. I'd love to be standing there to hear and see it fly by driven by someone better than me. It's as aerodynamic as a cinder block with high centre of gravity however he drives it like an MG. Awesome:p:D
