Happy New Year everyone, thanks to all that made this trend. I get my 32 Ford Coupe tomorrow, and very anxious to see her with the 5 inch chopped top. Also I got the rear frame horns welded, so I can get the gas tank where it belongs. She looks great in the photos and I will post more photos shortly. m.ralph
Looks great! I am so glad you got rid of the gas cap through the quarter! It looks a lot better this way! 3blap.
Thanks, I hated that gas cap on the quarter panel. One other thing that I will get done , the cowl vent is covered. I changed out the bucket seats today and installed a bench seat that fits great. Also getting the windshield glass installed , will be ready tomorrow.
Another photo from the side. I got the windshield installed now. I will take some photos from the front tomorrow.
I'm glad that I asked Kris to save the pieces from my chop, I had a gentleman from Ohio wanting the pieces to unchop his coupe. I hope it works for him. m.ralph
Unchopped 5 windows with no fenders look like old jalopy derby cars...u need to take some out of it..
Thanks, I like it so much better. I knew when I bought the coupe, it was going to get chopped. Just needed to find the right shop to do it, and I did find the correct guy.
Hmmm... why is the top getting filled?! There's so many other things that could be done to make it look better... 3blap.
Personally I liked the clean top filled. Everyone to there liking. The coupe will be at Lone Star Roundup (Austin,Tx.), first week in April. Hoping to finish my green 32(avatar) and take it.
In Houston , the temperatures get over 100 degrees many times during May till August. Without an electric fan & shroud you can have heating problems. I run the cars in traffic & parades without problems.
Looks great m.ralph. How do you like the 5 inch chop compared to your other coupe with the 3 inch chop? I was wondering about being able to see out of both.
Of course the 3 inch chop gives more vision, than the 5 inch. But I'm used to chopped coupes and feel comfortable in them. When I have my next one chopped , I will stay with 4 inches. I don't regret getting my Burgundy coupe chopped 5 inches, because I love the looks of it. Thanks to everyone that made comments. m.ralph
