Features Kustoms blues? I need to see some kustoms....

You don't see enough of these done as a custom, but with some skirts and wheelcovers to go with the too-cool grill, this would totally rock.

 

quick85, I didn't take the pic, but I think this is the best angle. I'm curious to see the profile or rear shot. Looks like the builder laid down the stock sedan rear glass. Tough to pull off and not create some odd pinch points.

 

Just sold at 2017 Barrett-Jackson for $24K, a good buy.

 

Here`s the pic I took in Lincoln Nebraska at the ? 94 Americruise. Looks to be unchanged. With the exception of the hubcaps.

I think the 4 bars were 14's. When I sold Gary the 54-55 Caddy caps w/bullets, he had to change wheels/tires.

 

You would of thought that after 20, years, the new owner(owners) would of changed at least one thing. Or added something.

 

Picked up the Chevy from Aaron with the new carpet. One of the inspiration pics was this drawing by Dennis McPhail. Turned out pretty cool. Dropped it off yesterday to John Meyer at Clean Cut Creations for some paint touch ups and a couple tweaks.

Here`s a far fetched story you aren`t gonna believe. I was at the Rod And Custom Americruise in Lincoln Nebraska in about 2001 where I took this pic of Bob`s car. It had been a few years since I`d seen it. And the only time without skirts. A guy came up and was surprised to see a chopped Carson topped 40 Merc. It had been a while since he`d seen one. I told him Who`s it was and also about Kim and Nancy`s purple convertible(post 4661) across the grounds. He was impressed with Bob`s. I told the guy there`s Bob, we talked abit and I was off to look at the rest of the cars. A few years later I was reading an issue of Street Rodder and saw a pic of his Merc in a collection in Wisconsin. I talked to Bob about the article, yes he did sell his Merc. The guy saw his Merc and they exchanged numbers Bob said he would call him every six months wanting to buy the car. Bob eventually sold his Merc. I think this was the guy in Lincoln that year. This story continues later. With proof.

 

Very kool! Now ya need a TV and telephone.

Looks great, Doc! you're gonna have to drive in your socks or bare feet to keep the white pleats clean. I have white tuck'n'roll floor mats in my Buick too, that's how I know. Luckily when we made the floor mats, we had the foresight to make them removable so I didn't have to roll barefoot! E
