I think I got drool on myself the first time I saw this Caddy. Dark background makes the fins fade away, kind of like natures way to photoshop. 01232017_0014.jpg

Interesting that I just posted this today, then killing some time watching some older DVR stuff and see this car on an episode of American Pickers, where they drive a 35 Auburn from Broken Arrow OK to Valley Springs South Dakota. This Ford is sitting in front of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co at the start of the show.

Shoebox front bumper really changes the look of that '53. I like it, although if the ends could wrap around a little more, it'd look a bit more natural.

It was my favorite kustom at the show. Great example on how to build a mild kustom.

Continued from post 4699. Here is a scan from the Street Rod Nats in Minnisota in 82, A week before the KKOA show in Des Moines. It is interesting, they put Bob`s car on the lead page in the Street Scene magazine. It`s not a Street Rod. Scan0148.jpg Scan0145.jpg Scan0147.jpg Then a scan from a magazine called Garage Style explaining Richards trip to the Lincoln Americruise. The following year he took his 32 Roadster Magazine cover car. That`s when he saw Bob`s car. I have a later issue of Garage Style that explains how he ended up buying Bob`s car. Can`t seem to find it. It also shows Richards collection in more detail. Remember Ed Newton, I think he worked for Ed Roth Studio`s. Here is a print he did back in the 80`s. I`ve always wanted one. I`ve never been a E-bay guy, so I`ve never looked.

Thanks Roger you read my mind. I was wondering about the white Caddy when I saw the picture. Looking forward to seeing it back together.

That was taken at the host hotel parking lot, right near the Ranch complex.

From the collection of Ed Pouge. This was taken at the '58 Playboys CC Autorama in Enid OK. Ed dropped me by a large notebook of pictures and clipping so expect to see more inte next few days.
Ed said this chopped and sectioned coupe was also air conditioned, rare back then.

This one also has quite a history!
It was owned by the late Rich Pichette (West Coast Kustoms founder), and featured bodywork by Hines, scallops laid out by Jerry Weesner (then editor of Custom Rodder Magazine), and was striped by Larry Watsom himself!

Another from Ed's archives. No info on this one. Note the side pipes over the cruiser skirts.
