  1. Oh you have no worries then! He's the king haha. I wish he lived closer to us. I actually won't be getting the tool until Thursday, thought it was going to be today. So I gotta wait some more unfortunately. Hell yeah, those are looking awesome.

  3. Not much building mostly gathering parts and prep work.
Customers cars come first and my other 2 projects (53 ford 59 ford), before the model A. The engine almost done, Trans is done, got some 32 rails for Christmas present. Need to get the frame table down off the paint room 1200# of steel so I car start the chassis. here is a link

That's great news, the seal fix. The car sounds really nice.
I'm in the process of connecting my headers to the undercar exhaust, mine won't be as hidden as yours because I just don't have the room under the car up near the firewall like that.
I have to drop off the collectors to a small flange and I have run my exhaust through the frame to the porter mufflers and out to the rear.
I'm also going to have a couple of caps made for my headers like you have done, thanks for the idea.
I'll look again to see if you posted a picture but I'm wondering what you have inside the collector to anchor the caps.
Enjoy, that is one cool hot rod.
By the way, I also sold all of the wheels and tires I had for my RPU and ordered up a set of WV Gennie series 14 - 16" wheels 16x4.5 and 16x6 and the Excelsiors 5.00x16 and 7.50 x16.

  8. Thank you!! Sounds awesome! Will where they connect be outside of the frame then? I don't think I've posted a picture of how they anchor down. But we welded a piece of I think 14g, half inch wide if I remember correctly and drilled a hole in the middle with a nut welded to the back for the header cap bolt to thread into. Awesome, those should help give you some rake!

Yes they will. I really like the look of those tires.
Here's a shot of the passenger side exhaust, they go through an angled hole in the frame to the porter mufflers then out to the back over the quickchange.
The whole exhaust system will be ceramic coated.

  12. Firs test drive was a SUCCESS!! Crazy to see this car move under its own power, I've waited for this moment ever since I was a kid! It's smoking a little bit, the valve seals might be leaking a little bit, not sure. But I'm not too worried about it! I also may have a small vacuum leak, it's whistling a little bit. But other than that everything seems to be good! Next test drive will be on the road. Patiently waiting for spring!!

We gotta bring both our coupes to next ECTA meet! I'm hoping to race mine in the slow 135mph class that basically required jeans, long sleeve shirt and a helmet.
